Think of your purse as your lifeline when you leave the house. It needs to have everything you could possibly need for any adventure you can encounter while out in the real world. Over the years, that mindset led to carrying a 20 pound bag over my shoulder everyday. Unhealthy, right?
Since turning 30, I’ve come to re-define what I consider necessities. Most of the clutter I’d thrown into my purse was exactly that, clutter. I’d go months without using it and it just added to the weight I carried with me everyday. I’ve since condensed everything I need into one pouch.
Essentials

- Concealer
- 2 Tampons

The emergency pouch stays in my work bag that I take out whenever I’m out of the house for too long. On weekends, I’ve downsized to smaller bags and keep them free from clutter. Walet, Keys, chapstick. All I’ve learned to actually need. And trust me, my back/shoulder thanks me for it!
