Winters in New England can be brutal. Especially, once the snow starts coming down. The right boots for the occasion are of utmost importance.
If you haven’t noticed from my instagram, I tend to be a little all over the place so I need outfits for everything. My shoes are always at the top of mind. Over the weekend we’re usually up in the mountains (in 10 feet of snow in the winter). At work I’ll need a pair of boots to walk the haphazardly shoveled sidewalks to grab lunch. Even just going grocery shopping on an icy day calls for the right shoes.
Warmth and insulation is key. From the experience of cold toes and soggy feet, I’ve curated a selection of must-have boots to survive a New England winter.
- Sam Edelman – Sue Chelsea Boot
- Sorel – Carnival Boot
- Hunter – Original Tour Short Rain Boot
- LL Bean – Bean Boot 6″
- Sorel – Lace Duck Boot
- Sorel – Caribou Boot
- Sorel – Lennox Lace Boot
- LL Bean – Bean Boot 8″ Shearling Lined
- UGG – Adirondack lll Waterproof Bootie
You might notice a lot of Sorel boots on the list but I’m a HUGE fan. They have great grip for the winter, they have styles light enough to wear on a casual errand, and tend to be so well insulated that even the coldest day won’t bother you.
