I think we can all agree that traveling is stressful.
The bookings, the packing, the flight, the transportation. It gets overwhelming and there are so many components to each of those things that for us anxiety-ridden people, it can be a nightmare right up until you step foot into your hotel.
My biggest fear is forgetting something. Like rationally thinking I know I can find what I need wherever I am – but that doesn’t stop help the panicky feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Now sometimes we take our carry-ons with us on the plane and sometimes we check them in, depending on how we feel, but on the flight itself – I always have a giant purse and Jay has a backpack, that we fill with our essentials and we made a list of what those are for you guys. 🙂
Obviously if you don’t wear glasses, contacts, have allergies, or asthma, you can ignore the things that don’t apply to you but that’s what we bring. Also, we bring a headphone splitter so we can both listen on the laptop.
I can’t think of anything else I might be missing but obviously you add things that you know will make you comfortable. It also depends on how long the flight is because if it’s like a 4 hour flight, I still bring a laptop because i have it with me for my own security but I don’t pull it out during the flight, a book or just regular conversation will do.
One other thing we always have are baseball caps, Jay because he always wears one, and me because it’s great for covering oily hair until I’ve gotten a chance to shower after the flight.
And you may have noticed that I mention a TON of hydrating products like facial spray, chapstick, lotions, etc, and that’s because flights long or short are super dehydrating. Between the cabin pressure, the air, and just other people breathing, it works a number on you.
Let me know what you like to bring on flights – what you can’t imagine traveling without – or even if you’re one of those bare-necessities people who packs their lives in a backpack and goes. 🙂
