I don’t know if this comes across the screen, but I’m a very simple person. I like to find low-maintenance ways to look high maintenance. Low maintenance jewelry. Easy make-up. Quick outfits. You get the gist. My nails have been no different. I go to the nail salon every two weeks to get dip powder on them because they’re paper thin and break at the slightest bit of resistance, but I always go for muted single color styles. I have always seen it as more office appropriate though this summer, something finally clicked in my brain and I opted to take a more colorful (pun intended) approach to my nails. It was probably my obsessive pinning of cute nails on Pinterest… but I digress.

The nail game has definitely gotten more creative over the past few years. It’s such an underrated way to express yourself. I’ve tried to do something different every time I go to the salon. Most times I like it, but there’s always a case of picking the wrong colors. Either way, I’m trying to not be my boring self to much!
