FitFabFun Summer 2018 Box Review

Happy Friday!

I  got my first FitFabFun box about 3 weeks ago and I figured after trying out some of the product, I would give you guys a little review of the Summer box.

First and foremost, let me just apologize for not having any of my own pictures. I got the box and I think I was just in a horrible mood and took a few pictures before just putting everything away and throwing out the box so I didn’t really get any quality ones. Luckily for me, it’s all up on their website under the member log in.

My box came with the following items:

FitFabFun Summer Box - Lifeonthesimpleside

In my opinion, you get a good amount of stuff for the $49.99 ($39.99 with the $10 discount), and I’m glad I bit the bullet and did the subscription because a lot of these things I wouldn’t have gone out to get on my own.

Out of the 8 products, I’ve only used 5 and I’m not disappointed in them whatsoever.

Dr. Brandt pores no more Luminzer Primer - Lifeonthesimpleside

The Dr. Brandt pores no more Luminizer Primer is my absolute favorite out of the entire box. It has a little bit of a tint so on most days I wore it alone without any foundation. This was a god-send, especially with the heat wave we’ve gotten. I didn’t notice much of a difference in hiding my pores but it did stick true to its name and luminized the hell out of my face. It provided an amazing glow that looked really natural without a speck of highlight. My face just looked really healthy and moisturized.

Individual price: $38

Spongelle Papaya Yuzu Boxed Flower - Lifeonthesimpleside

The Spongelle Papaya Yuzu Boxed Flower would come in at number 2 for me. It’s a scented body sponge and It smells absolutely AMAZING! It caught me off guard at first because it feels soft in your hands but it’s actually a body buffer and it’s really good at buffing away dead skin and leaving it silky smooth. The only thing I can say against it is that it’s really drying but that’s to be expected with most body scrubs. Just apply lotion once you get out the shower and you’re good to go.

Individual price: $16

FOREO LUNA! fofo - Lifeonthesimpleside

The FOREO LUNA! Fofo facial cleansing brush is number 3 in my book. The concept of it is simple and really cool. You download an app on your phone, and using the sensors on the back of the brush, it determines the intensity of the vibrations based on the moisture levels of the different zones on your face. The process is quick, especially for people on a time crunch in the mornings and it leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean. The one thing I have against it (and this may be totally my fault in which I need to investigate) is that the sensors started not to work after a week of religious morning and night use. Again, I might have to clean them off or something, but this was my experience to date.

Individual price: $89

Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case - Lifeonthesimpleside

My number 4 is this Yumi Kim Makeup Train Case. Mine is a solid blue color with a really cute interior and it’s super handy. I took it on our road trip and it fit everything I needed. It has two compartments. The top has a space to hold brushes with a plastic cover to not mess up the bristles. It also has a zip pocket to hold smaller, easier to lose items. The bottom is massive, and holds a ton of stuff. On our trip it held body wash, face wash, moisturizer, toothpaste, contact solution, foundation, primer, pretty much everything I could think of. I’ve been looking for a good one but of course I didn’t want to spend the money so I was glad my box included this.

Individual cost: $58

8 Other Reasons Landon Lariat - Lifeonthesimpleside

This 8 Other Reasons Landon Lariat necklace comes in last simply because I’m not a big jewelry person, but it’s really cute and it’s comfortable to wear. It’s another item I wouldn’t have bought for myself but I’m glad it came in the box because goes with really anything.

Individual Price: $48

I haven’t tried the AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream with Dead Sea Water ($33), The KORRES Showergel ($18.50), or the Makeup Drop ($6). Mostly because I didn’t have any interest in them. I have a ton of hand creams, I know what Japanese Rose smells like for the shower gel but I’m sure I’ll use it once I run out of my current body wash, and the thought of using silicone to apply makeup makes me cringe at the thought of cakeyness. I’m sure other people love them and use them but at the moment I had no need.

All in all, I was really happy with my box. I’ve tried Ipsy and Birchbox but those were kind of underwhelming for me. These were full sized items and for the value of the things I liked vs the amount I paid for it, it was totally worth it.

This also isn’t a monthly subscription. There’s a new box every season so you only pay $49.99 every season. From the member login page, they are getting the Fall box ready now so that’s something to look forward too. Beginning of August, they’re going to give sneak peeks at the products and if it’s anything like my last box, you get to pick a few of the items you’d like to receive.

Let me know if you guys try out the service of if you like any of the other subscription type boxes like Ipsy or Birchbox.

I feel like everything comes in a subscription box now.
