Essential Postpartum Supplies: A Starter Checklist for a Smooth Recovery

When becoming a first time mom, there’s many unpleasant aspects of growing a child that are hidden within the magic of the miracle. Many new moms know about weight gain, nausea, stretch marks, etc – but how many have truly wrapped their head around the postpartum recovery period? Personally, it’s the one thing I’m most intimidated by.

Postpartum recovery is a time of physical healing and adjustment for both your body and your mind. Your body has gone through an incredible journey of pregnancy and childbirth, and it needs time to heal and regain its strength. It’s important to give yourself permission to rest and prioritize yourself (as much as humanly possibly) during this time.

Physically, your body is working hard to heal and recover. As many first-time moms, I’ve watched countless videos of what I might need during that period and I’ve compiled the list of items I plan on having on hand.
